The Civil Wedding As anyone familiar with France knows, the separation of state and church has made the religious ceremony legally invalid. Indeed, it is necessary to already be married (to the intended spouse!) to arrange a religious wedding. Far away from everyone and everything, we finally decided to celebrate our civil wedding in Denmark. The ceremony will take place May 22th, at 11 am, at the Gentofte City Hall int the presence of some friends from Denmark. Such an idea! With Sweden, Per's beloved mother country, just across the straight! Well, it simply posed as the most natural choice to marry legally in the country of residence. Battling the bureaucracies in France or Sweden did not seem like a good use of time this Spring. However, do not worry!
